Official Registry Program
7 Registers for Louisianans
The society maintains the official state registry containing seven registers: Indigenous Tribes of Louisiana
Founding Fathers of Louisiana
First Families of Louisiana
Creoles of Louisiana
Cajuns of Louisiana
Manilamen of Louisiana
Slaves of Louisiana
3 of the registers use the deadline of the end of the colonial period (20 December 1803 which is the date the U.S. flag was raised in New Orleans). 2 of the registers use the end of the Civil War for Louisiana which is the surrender of the last major Confederate command (the Trans-Mississippi Department under General Kirby Smith on 26 May 1865).
If you are a descendant of the Founding Fathers, First Families, Creoles, Cajuns, Manilamen, or Slaves of Louisiana, you may be eligible to be listed on the official registry and receive a certificate.

Indigenous Tribes
Register of Native American tribes residing within the borders of present-day Louisiana at the time of European contact through early colonization (defined by the building of Nuestra Señora del Pilar de los Adaes Presidio in 1721 to check French expansion after the establishment of the Fort St. Jean Baptiste des Natchitoches).
